About This Guide

What This Site Is, and What It Is Not

The patient-facing journey guide of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital.

Who We Are

A guide to the journey, not a catalogue of services

The Patient-Facing Companion

Chongqing West District Hospital publishes an institutional international hub describing the centre, its service lines and its language support. This site is the patient-facing companion to it: it covers what actually happens around the treatment — the decision, the paperwork, the travel, the money, the follow-up and the flight home.

Written for Someone Deciding

These pages assume you are weighing up whether to travel, or you have decided to and want to know what to prepare. They are deliberately honest about the parts that are difficult: distance makes complications harder to manage, revision may mean travelling again, and a remote opinion is not a diagnosis.

Deliberately Non-Commercial

No treatment is promoted here, no product or device is named, no figure is quoted, and no outcome is promised. Entry requirements are set by the applicable authority, insurance cover by your own insurer, and payment terms by a written estimate. This site is not a source of truth for any of them.

Our Approach

Education before arrangement

We believe the most important part of travelling for treatment happens before anything is booked: an honest remote assessment, a written plan, a realistic timetable, and a clear statement of what could go wrong and who to contact if it does. That is why this site leads with patient education rather than sales language.

✓

Plain-Language

Everything here is written in clear English, without brand names, dosages or figures, so that you can take part in every decision about your own journey.

✓

Written Down

Plans, estimates, review schedules and escalation routes are only useful if they are in writing. We ask for everything in writing, and we recommend you do the same with any provider you consider.

✓

Honest About Limits

No treatment can be guaranteed, no journey is risk-free, and a result that needs revision means travelling again. We tell you that before you commit, not afterwards.

The Hospital

Chongqing West District Hospital

Chongqing West District Hospital is a tertiary general hospital developed as a major healthcare project for Chongqing, with a planned capacity of up to 1,200 beds and more than 300 types of advanced medical equipment. More than 200 specialists with backgrounds at institutions affiliated with Army Medical University practice across more than 40 clinical departments, supported by nine major medical centres including the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center.

The hospital's culture, shaped by military medicine, emphasises discipline, rigour, and responsibility in clinical care. For a patient travelling from abroad, the practical advantage is that the full resources of a tertiary hospital — anaesthesia, intensive care, imaging, pathology, and transfusion — stand behind every step, and are in the same building if a complication needs theatre-level care.

Start with a remote assessment, not a flight booking

Reach out before you book anything. We will explain what a remote assessment can and cannot establish, what to prepare, and what a realistic timetable looks like — and we will tell you plainly if travelling is not the right answer for your case.
